As a home improvement company specializing in residential and commercial roofing solutions, including repairs, replacements and maintenance, Summit Point Roofing’s products are supported by a lifetime warranty. With our distinction of carrying a GAF Master Elite® contractor status, we offer warranties that stand out from the rest.

To understand GAF warranties, Summer Point Roofing answers some frequently asked queries about the matter.

Q: Why Is a Warranty Important?

Roofing is a great investment, albeit a costly one. Thus, understanding your roof’s warranty coverage beforehand will definitely save you from spending more in case your roof encounters a problem in the future. With your roof supported by a warranty, you have a peace of mind that your investment is protected for years to come.

Q: What Should I Look for in a GAF Warranty?

When you work with a GAF certified contractor on your roofing project, you get two types of warranty coverage: one against manufacturing defects and another one against errors in workmanship.

Q: What Are the GAF Warranties That You Offer?

Whether it is residential roofing or commercial roofing, our company offers the standard 50-year non-prorated roofing warranty, called the GAF System Plus Limited Warranty. We also offer what GAF calls the Golden Pledge® Limited Warranty, which is the 50-year warranty for manufacturing defect and 25-year coverage for workmanship errors.

Q: How Do I File a Warranty Claim?

Before talking to us, it is important that you provide the copy of the GAF warranty as well as the copies of the invoice, contract and original quote we provided you. Prepare the documents describing the date when the roof or shingles were installed or the warranty was properly transferred to you. Additionally, you must also provide the number of squares applied.

For more information about the warranties that we offer and their coverage, do not hesitate to reach one of our certified professional roofers by calling us at (616) 622-6343 or (248) 480-8600. We serve residents of Grand Rapids, MI.
